IN THE HEART OF FLINT HILLS
Council Grove Lake, one mile north of Council Grove, is in the heart of the Flint Hills. Boating is a popular pastime at the lake, and two boat ramps are located in the campground for visitors’ convenience.
The lake is known for its fishing opportunities, with crappie and catfish being the most abundant. Fair to excellent populations of saugeye, white bass, wiper, and largemouth bass are also present.
